It was brought to our attention this morning that one of the entries for Luigi’s Superfan Sunday contest was in fact stolen from someone online and sent in under the false illusion of having made it themselves.
We’re looking at you David Locks.
Yes, you may be in your nice, warm, cosy home with your Luigi prizes but Luigi and all of us here at Bunx (and a few other people like @alrightmousey) are seriously annoyed at you for STEALING WORK. You wouldn’t walk into an art gallery and take a painting of the wall, so why would you go onto a website and take someone else’s art? It is really not on.
May we take the time to quote from our pals The Saturdays:
My parents always told me,
Go be good in school.
Please listen to the teachers,
Follow all those rules,
Don’t you break those rules.
Shame on you David, we don’t think your parents will be very happy about this. You’re lucky we don’t call the police and you become David Locks-ed Up.
Thank you everyone for the flood of entries for Luigi’s first competition on this site! Luigi spent his Saturday yesterday looking through them all and choosing the winners. So here they are…
In 1st place and winning the title of Luigi’s Superfan, and other goodies, is Todd Lynes with his homage to Luigi’s Strobelight video.
2nd place is split between Victor Caetano for his lovely Luigi desktop background and Claire Simmons for writing out Luigi’s name in shoes. Amazing.
And the runner ups are Kathleen Downie and David Locks for his take on Luigi’s “Strobelight” cover art.
We will be in contact with all the winners sometime this week to collect addresses so we can send you your prizes! Thanks again to everyone who took the time to enter and we’ll let you know when the next contest is!
We’re starting a brand new contest here at LuigiMasi.com to show off all the best fan-made Luigi creations right here on the front page. Every Sunday will now be known as “Superfan Sunday”.
All you have to do is make something related to Luigi. Be it a drawing, a desktop background, web signature, a YouTube video of you singing his songs, whatever! If you’re selected then you’ll receive prize goodies such as signed posters, exclusive t-shirts, special promo CDs and maybe even a phone call from Luigi!
Send your entry to luigisuperfansunday@googlemail.com. This competition is open to everyone around the world. Closing date for each weekly contest is midnight Saturday. Get cracking and good luck!
