Update From Luigi

With the “Save His Shoes” era coming to a close, Luigi wanted to say a little something to his fans about his journey and what lies ahead.

Dear fans,

Luigi here! Just wanted to give you an update before everything goes all quiet for the rest of the year.

I’ve just started work on my next album. My sophomore release is due out next summer and I’m really excited at what the next few months will produce. This will be the first album that I work on under the command of the label and management I’m signed under. “Save His Shoes” was a bit of a mixtape album made up of the demos that got me signed and a few tracks that were created after signing on with Bunx Records. With all their creative minds, I’m just so excited at what we’ll all be able to come up with together. A cohesive album made in a few months as opposed to a selection of tracks made up over the past 4 years.

That’s not to say I am not proud of “Save His Shoes” because I am immensely proud of what will forever be my debut record. When I listen to the music, watch the videos, and look at the artwork from that album, I see a journey. A journey that started with a dream 4 years when I was just making music in my bedroom, signing a record deal a year and a half ago, touring with my favorite bands in the whole world, working with my dream list of producers and writers to this very moment right now.

I feel so blessed to have a team behind me that believe in the long term potential of their artists. To think how much I have grown as an artist from my very first live performance ever on the Sugababes tour to my one off show a few weeks ago is just incredible for me. It’s a bit unfair when others compare me to successful artists today who have been groomed to perform since they were babies and have had a decade of practice behind the gaze of the public when I’ve done all of that in front of basically everyone. It probably would have been easier if I had never done those shows, but then I wouldn’t have those once in a lifetime memories of doing something so crazy aged just 17.

Next summer I will be 20 years old (crazy old!) and will finally be able to debut properly as an artist in my own right. This time I feel ready.

Not to ramble on any longer as this whole piece has taken on a tone which I hadn’t planned but it’s really hard for me as a male artist to know what to do. I live and breathe pop music but 95% of what I listen to are girls. Liking all that doesn’t really give me anything to look up to when I do my own stuff. I can’t exactly be inspired by anything other than the music. So it’s all a bit of a crazy learning experience for me and I have to do it in front of the public. But that’s cool because at least they can also see how much one has improved.

Anyway that’s all from me I think, better just sign off now.

Thank you to all my fans for their love and support. It means so much knowing I have you there behind me.

Luigi

    Update from Todd

    Dear Fans, Luigi and Readers…

It’s bin a good ride through the SHS season. With my lovely Strobelight, to the Armed with Love release (and a late b-side) to what we’d been waiting for: Save his shoes. A good album with at least 1500 plays it’s given me my moneys worth. And not forgeting the superfan competition where I earnt the title of ‘Superfan’. I’d like to see what the new label will do, as althoguh Bunx have done well, just not gone the extra mile to give this album the credit it was due. Inc. 1 or 2 great songs.

I hope to see some kind of forum to keep fans going as that was cancelled and i am awaiting the new website in eagerness :) Bin a good ride and i’ll keep on here and hope there’s something new on the homepage every week or so at least :) And make use of your YouTube Luigi!!! you got over 1,000 subscribers but barely release videos.

    Respect: Todd.
